Reduce costs and emissions

Connect your already smart lift trucks to reduce your business operative costs and emissions.

Since 2022, all new Konecranes lift trucks are smart connected by default. If you ordered one before, you can easily upgrade it with a customized retrofit kit.

It allows you to monitor operations 24 h 7/7 days, to help you manage costs and uptime.

This means you can analyse deeply your equipment operations and conditions and immediately take correct actions that not only will reduce your operative costs and increase your productivity, but most importantly, reduce your carbon emissions.

A few examples to start with:

  • Analyse the path of your lift trucks: the traveled distance and the load cycle duration of your trucks are clearly shown and can be continuously monitored. Ensure that operators follow the shortest and most productive path during all cycles to minimize fuel consumption, costs, and emissions.
  • Monitor fuel consumption and emissions: easy-to-read KPIs show each lift truck's fuel consumption (liters per lift) and CO2 emissions. By monitoring and reducing equipment idling and empty driving time, you can significantly cut both costs and emissions.
  • If you're running electric vehicles: recovered energy during the shift and the battery charge status are monitored and displayed on the customer portal in near real time. This makes it easier to determine fast charging opportunities when needed, maximize battery lifetime and reduce energy losses.

Going the extra mile

By upgrading your subscription to TRUCONNEC Premium and Premium+, you can then run the extra mile and reduce fuel consumption and emissions even further, thanks to the following extra monitoring features:

  • Tire pressure: one of the key factor to high fuel consumption and wear an d tear is a non optimal tire pressure. By installing specific sensors, you always keep the tire pressure at an optimal level, reducing fuel consumption, hence emissions, at minimum levels, while maximizing tire lifetime and reducing costs at the same time.

  • Hydraulic oil conditions: replacing the hydraulic oil only when needed dramatically reduce maintenance costs, increase equipment uptime and is less harmful to the environment, as much less oil is wasted.

For both solutions, additional sensors have to be installed on the equipment.
